113 Academic Year National Student Art Competition Taichung City Preliminary Contest Implementation Plan

I. Event Title: 113 Academic Year National Student Art Competition Preliminary Contest

II. Purpose: To promote student art creation, cultivate national art appreciation ability, and enhance aesthetic education, especially emphasizing original works in this competition.

III. Guidance Unit: Ministry of Education, National Taiwan Arts Education Center

IV. Main Organizer: Taichung City Government Education Bureau

V. Co-organizer: Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School

VI. Cooperating Units: Taichung Municipal Taichung Second Senior High School, Taichung Municipal Sha-Lu Junior High School, Xitun District Dajia Elementary School, Nantun District Jianxing Elementary School

VII. Participants:

  1. All public and private elementary, junior high, and senior high (vocational) school students (grades 1-12) and students receiving non-school-based experimental education (excluding international students) can participate. Each school will select and decide on the entries.
  2. Students from overseas Chinese schools and international schools (excluding international students) can participate.
  3. Schools in outlying islands and schools for indigenous students in Taiwan can participate in the “Taipei City Government Art School Zone” preliminary contest.

VIII. Categories and Types of Entries:

  1. Categories:
    Elementary School Division, Junior High Division, Senior High (Vocational) Division
    (1) Elementary: Including public, private elementary schools, and non-school-based experimental education students.
    (2) Junior High: Including public, private junior high schools, complete schools (K-12), and non-school-based experimental education students.
    (3) Senior High (Vocational): Including public, private senior high schools, vocational schools, complete school senior high students, and non-school-based experimental education students.
  2. Types:
    (1) Elementary Division: Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Graphic Design, Comic, Watercolor, Prints, etc.
    (2) Junior High and Senior High (Vocational) Divisions: Western Painting, Calligraphy, Graphic Design, Comic, Watercolor, Prints.

* Senior High (Vocational) schools with Art (Work) Departments can submit 1-10 works per category.

Registration Method:

  1. For works participating in the preliminary rounds of this city competition, each school will first conduct a preliminary selection. The designated personnel from each school will then register online. The registration website is “Taichung City Student Art Competition Results and Registration” (https://tcart.tc.edu.tw). The registration period is from September 12, 2024 (Thursday) to September 20, 2024 (Friday). To unify the registration with the junior high and senior high departments, please register at the administrative office by this Thursday (September 19). Please make sure to complete the registration by the deadline; late submissions will not be accepted. (For operation instructions related to the website, please refer to the online instructions.)
  2. Ensure that the relevant information for participating works is filled out correctly according to the online instructions for submission verification purposes.
  3. This year, participating works must provide one digital photo, in jpg format, with a resolution of at least 1024*768 pixels, no more than 6 million pixels, and a file size not exceeding 1MB. Please upload this photo in the online registration system.
  4. After the school registers online, the registration system will generate a work label and submission checklist. Please print the work label and attach it as per the attached instructions; the printed submission checklist must be submitted when delivering the works.
